Fliers circulating around West Chester University’s campus have caused concern among students and administrators about the formation of a white student union.

Reporter Jen Howard has been following the story, and spoke with university spokeswoman Pam Sheridan.

“It turned out that it was just basically a student’s innocent attempt to generate a discussion around issues such as race and whatnot and it backfired,” Sheridan said.

The fliers were reportedly being used as a provactive statement to promote inclusion.
