Millville man arrested for shoplifting to fulfill bet

Let this be a lesson to you: when losing a bet to friends, always opt for streaking instead of shoplifting. Millville’s Irwin Krakow learned that the hard way.

The 58-year-old was arrested Saturday for shoplifting in Walmart. He told police he’d lost a bet and chose the shoplifting punishment over streaking through the street.

The Daily Journal reports Krakow was caught with $43.82 in merchandise — not even enough to square away the $50 bet. He reportedly told police he should have streaked instead, since the fine would have been smaller.

Yes, that’s the lesson he learned from this.
