Get ready to get really mess at the Franklin Mess Fest in the Bartol Atrium and on the Front Steps!  The Mess Fest promises the best in slimy, oozing, exploding and gooey science.   Bring a change of clothes and prepare to get MESSY!

Kids will see what happens when you combine ultra-cold liquid nitrogen with steaming hot water and 2,000 colorful balls.  They will watch the Soap Bubble Master spread suds and witness the chemical reaction that makes enormous elephant toothpaste.   Make-n-takes for kids include Alka-Seltzer Rockets and gooey gloopy Slime.  Check out the video above for a sneak peek.  All events free with Museum admission.

The Philadelphia Folk Festival, Thursday through Sunday, August 16th – August 19th
