Meet the properties: 400 Philadelphia Housing Authority properties for auction

Bargain hunters and interested property owners gathered at the Warnock Center this afternoon and have one more chance to meet 400 eligible Philadelphia Housing Authority properties before they go to auction next month.

PHA is cleaning house, auctioning off 400 “scattered site properties throughout Philadelphia” through the Max Spann Real Estate & Auction Company.

Scattered appears to mean “largely concentrated in North Philadelphia” [map].
Most of the properties on this map fall into a large swath of the city between Front Street, Allegheny Avenue, Girard Avenue and Fairmount Park, with some outliers in the West and Northwest parts of the city and one lonely Fishtown property.

Today’s info session was from 1 to 3 p.m. Your next shot at property ownership is Nov. 2 at 1 p.m. at the Grays Ferry Center. That’s the last session before the Nov. 16 auction.
