Mayor Nutter, Police appeal to public for help in solving September triple homicide

Alongside Police Commissioner Charles H. Ramsey and First Deputy Commissioner Richard Ross Jr., Mayor Michael Nutter asked the public for help in solving a September triple homicide Sunday.

The group was joined by grieving family members of the victims from the September 6 shooting outside the Lorena’s Grocery Store Sunday afternoon.

Police say two men entered the North 50th grocery store at 7:56 p.m. on September 6 armed with handguns and demanding money. Police say during the robbery, the suspects shot three employees multiple times, killing all of them.

Police have identified the victims as Porfirio Nunez, Johana ‘Carmen’ Nunez and Lina Sanchez.
