Mayor Nutter appoints Mt. Airy resident to Philadelphia Redevelopment Authority (RDA) board

Philadelphia Mayor Michael Nutter announced the appointment of Anuj Gupta, who is the executive director of Mt. Airy USA, to the Philadelphia Redevelopment Authority (RDA) board today.

Prior to taking over at Mt. Airy USA in November, Gupta served in Mayor Nutter’s Administration as Chief of Staff/Deputy Commissioner in the Department of Licenses and Inspections and as a Deputy to the Managing Director. Mr. Gupta has a juris doctorate and masters of governmental administration from the University of Pennsylvania.

Gupta will fill out the remaining five-year term for Asia Coney.

The RDA manages the city’s Neighborhood Stabilization Program (NSP), which, through a grant from the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development, tries to reduce blight, provide construction jobs, improve access to housing and help small businesses.
