Masked men rob East Germantown deli at gunpoint [video]

Philadelphia Police are seeking a pair of masked men who robbed an East Germantown deli at gunpoint on Friday night.

According to investigators with the Northwest Detective Division, the pair entered the Woodlawn Deli, 5637 Chew Ave., around 7:15 p.m.

One went to the rear of the store to act as a lookout while the other pointed a handgun at the 50-year-old woman working behind the counter and demanded money, according to police.

After taking $495 in cash, the duo fled the scene in a black Toyota SUV along Woodlawn Street.

The armed suspect is described as a 5-foot 10-inch tall, thin male in his late 20s. He was wearing a gray hooded sweatshirt with a white “North Face” logo, faded blue jeans, dark sneakers and a dark-colored neoprene mask covering his face.

The lookout is described as being roughly the same height and age with a medium build, dreadlocked hair down to his ears and an unknown left-wrist tattoo. He was wearing a black vest, black hooded sweatshirt, black knit hat, black pants, white sneakers and a black mask around his neck, police said.
