Sparks fly at fire and ice celebration in Manayunk

The second annual Manayunk on Ice event kicked off this weekend with sparks.

Residents from all over Philadelphia and the surrounding areas gathered in the Venice Island parking lot to watch master ice sculptors create works of art out of blocks of ice before lighting it all on fire.

Musicians from Stranger’s Vibe provided the musical ambience for the night.
