Man reports being beaten, robbed in Newark, Del.

    Police in Newark say they’re investigating a robbery where a victim was beaten by three suspects.

    Police say the 21-year-old victim from Clark, N.J., reported he was walking in the 100 block of New Street around 12:30 a.m. Saturday when he was approached by three men. The victim says the men punched and kicked him and demanded his wallet. The suspects fled after taking money from the victim.

    The three suspects are all believed to be in their early 20s. All three were wearing jeans, white T-shirts and baseball hats.

    The suspects were last seen running westbound on New Street in the direction of Center Street.
