Man killed in Philadelphia subway tracks

    A man was struck and killed Sunday morning by a subway train.SEPTA authorities say the man was in the track area of the Susquehanna-Dauphin station of the Broad Street Line when he was hit by a train coming into the station just after 7 a.m.Jerri Williams, a SEPTA spokeswoman, says the man had apparently gone down onto the tracks to retrieve an object. Service at the station was suspended and shuttle buses put in use for passengers.
