Man gets jail time for hair in sandwich

A New Jersey man has been sentenced to 15 days in jail and two years of probation after putting hairs in a sandwich he prepared while working at a restaurant.

Ryan Burke, 27, was working in Good Foods to Go in Marlton last February when he put pubic and chest hairs in a sandwich a police officer ordered, the Courier Post reports.

A DNA test confirmed Burke was the offender, and he was promptly fired. Burke pleaded guilty to aggravated assault and admitted he committed the offense because the officer had stopped him for a traffic violation a year earlier.

He’ll serve his jail sentence on weekend.
