Making money

Philadelphia-based consulting firm Hay Group has released survey results that indicate the median salary increase for U.S. employees will be 2.8 percent this year.

The Philadelphia Business Journal reported on the finding, which also shows twice as many organizations are increasing their staffs than are decreasing them.

It’s not all good news, however. Data show more than half the companies in the survey have plans to increase health care co-pays.

Two steps forward, one step back.
