Main Line coach accused of improper relationship with student

A former Shipley School squash coach is charged with corruption of a minor and endangering the welfare of a child after a 16-year-old student and her parents recently reported to the police the teen’s ongoing sexual relationship with the coach.

James Civello of Bucks County will appear in court Thursday, the Times Herald reports, and will remain in Montgomery County Jail in lieu of $100,000 cash bail.

Court documents say the one-time coach at the Bryn Mawr school engaged in sexual acts with the girl in various places, including her home in Lower Merion. The charges against him allege he corrupted the girl’s morals and violated his duty of care.
