Main Line baseball player drafted by Milwaukee Brewers

The MLB has come a-calling once more for Mike Francisco. The Malvern Prep grad decided to finish up his degree at Villanova when he and the Phillies couldn’t agree on money during the draft pick, but he could be heading to Milwaukee soon.

Malvern Patch reports the Brewers called Francisco up in the 48th round, along with 23 other pitchers. The Newtown Square resident threw 82 games with the Wildcats and owns the university’s record with 20 saves.

Not to worry, Phils. We already have a Francisco.
