Lower rates for PGW customers effective today

March is Women’s History Month and Red Cross Month. For PGW customers, it’s also Pay Less for your Gas Month.

The utility company has announced lower rates for its customers, starting today. Residential customers will see a 6.6 percent decrease, according to the Philadelphia Business Journal, and pay $1.40 per 100 cubic feet of natural gas.

The rate decrease will be in effect for the next three months when PGW determines whether rates should be adjusted according to the natural gas market.
