Lower Merion and St. Joe’s resume talks about university field upgrades

The two-and-half-year plan to upgrade playing fields on St. Joe’s University Maguire Campus has boiled down to a few key points: construction interference, stormwater management and parking.

The kids just wanna play ball; the neighbors don’t want the university pushing its limits.

After a four-hour meeting Monday, the township commissioners recommended approval of a preliminary plan, and work on a field hockey field could begin before the final plan is submitted.

Talks will resume tonight, as the Main Line Times reports, is expected to hear the application tonight. Sounds like we could have another four-hour meeting on our hands.
