Little Feat coming to this year’s Philadelphia Folk Festival

Little Feat will be coming to this year’s Philadelphia Folk Festival in August. Festival organizers announced the line-up earlier this week. Other major bands scheduled for the festival include: John Hiatt, Steve Earle, Lucinda Williams and Wanda Jackson.

The three-day festival will be held August 17-19 at the Old Pool Farm in Montgomery County near Schwenksville, Pa. It is produced by the Mt. Airy-based Philadelphia Folksong Society

“This summer the Philadelphia Folk Festival really has something for everyone” said Lisa Schwartz, marketing chair and president of Philadelphia Folksong Society.

A few changes will take place this year. There will be fewer bands enabling them to perform longer sets and open up the possibilities for collaboration. Also, music will start daily at 11 a.m. and run straight through until midnight, according to Schwartz. In past years, the festival day was broken up into two major sets; afternoon shows followed by a break then audience members were re-admitted for the evening concerts.
