List: Top schools in the tri-state area according to Newsweek
SAT scores, graduation rates and student/teacher ratio all factored into Newsweek’s ranking of the country’s best schools.
You can see the magazine’s methodology here, with help from Teach for America, Open Education Solutions and the School Redesign Network. Below, we have the list of top three schools each in Pennsylvania, New Jersey and Delaware.
Pennsylvania:
Harriton High School in Rosemont
Northwest Pennsylvania Collegiate Academy in Erie
Radnor High School in Radnor
In Philadelphia, Only Central High School was ranked among the state’s best (but dead last in the list of 18).
New Jersey:
High Technology in Lincroft
Bergen County Academies in Hackensack
Biotechnology High in Freehold
Delaware:
The Charter School of Wilmington
Cab Calloway School of the Arts in Wilmington Delaware only had two schools on the list.
Of the three states’ top schools, High Technology ranks the best and Cab Calloway ranks the worst.
