Libertarian publication mocks Brown’s party switch with fake ad

Philadelphia’s latest mayoral contender is as indecisive as the rest of the crew. But she’s not struggling with whether to run (unlike Tom Knox, Anthoy Hard Williams, Brett Mandel and Sam Katz). She’s just switching parties (OK, like Sam Katz).

The Philadelphia Libertarian is having a ball with this. It’s created a mock mayoral advertisement for Karen Brown, who just a few days ago was running for a Democratic City Council position and is now gunning for Michael Nutter’s seat, but as a Republican.

The ad first portrays Brown as an Obama-supporting, Johnny Doc-loving Democrat, then as a conservative Reaganite. It ends with the message, “Don’t vote for any Philadelphia mayoral candidate May 17th.”
