Legal action taken against new local food blog

Food blog StaphMeal has recently taken a couple jabs at Le Bec-Fin’s Georges Perrier, calling him a racist; and local chef Shola Olunloyo, claiming that “he is not frequently a nice person.” Perrier and Olunloyo are not taking these criticisms lightly.

Perrier hired attorney Jonathan Cohen to take on the case, as the Daily News reports. Cohen claims the anonymous bloggers are guilty of libel, slander and defamation, and has filed a complaint.

A male between the ages of 26-32 identified himself as a writer, but he has not released his name; this writ of summons could help to uncover who the mysterious writer is.

Cohen calls the blogger(s) “uninformed, immature anonymous typist,” and Foobooz calls StaphMeal “a bunch of mean-spirited, poorly punctuated ranting.”
