LEED-certified housing development set for Francisville

Set to break ground next month, the Vineyards at 16th is more than just a housing development. It’s a sign of hope for neighbors. The townhomes will take over a mostly vacant area at 16th Street an Ridge Avenue in Francisville.

As PlanPhilly reports with Philadelphia Neighborhoods, the LEED-certified development will feature 20 three-family townhouses complete with radiant heat and solar thermal hot water systems.

The Francisville Neighborhood Development Corp. hopes the Vineyards will start to make up for the neighborhood’s population loss over the years.
