Lawyer says Parx officers played ‘gotcha’ with woman who left kids in car

An Abington woman has escaped child endangerment charges for leaving niece and nephews in a parked car outside Bensalem’s Parx Casino in July.

Frances Casey will get 180 days of probation and 50 hours of community service after pleading guilty to disorderly conduct. The children were in the car, with the air conditioner running, whlie Casey stopped in the casino for 15 minutes.

The Inquirer reports Casey’s lawyer accused Parx security officers of playing “gotcha” with Casey, alleging the officers watched her walk away from the car and tracked the case instead of telling her to return to the casino. Parx denies the accusation.
