Latest Delaware snowfall was a below the canal affair

Schools in Middletown were among those closed in lower New Castle County today because of the latest snowfall.  However, you only had to travel a few miles further north to see where the dividing line for this storm was.

The Delaware Emergency Management Agency says Kent and Sussex county roads are snow covered and 3 inches to 5 inches of snow fell in some locations in Sussex County. Department of Transportation crews are plowing roads statewide.   Some county and state government offices in those counties had a delayed opening.

About 6 inches of fresh snow fell on the coastal Delaware area as this latest winter storm passed through bringing cold temps and winter back for another round of bad weather.  Schools closed, and many businesses opened late as crews work to clean up again from Lewes to Bethany Beach in Delaware and other points south.
