Lakewood street named for slain police officer
A street in Lakewood, NJ, has been renamed for slain police officer Christopher Matlosz. Yesterday, Third Street near the township entrance was named Matlosz Way.
Matlosz died Jan. 14 after being shot three times when he stopped 19-year-old Jahmell Crockam. The Asbury Park Press reports more than 200 people attended the unveiling, which displays the honorary street sign with Matlosz’ badge number, 317.
