Kevin Boyle’s offices become food drive collection sites

Holiday food drives are beginning, Pa. Rep. Kevin Boyle, D-172nd, was among the first to announce details of where to drop off donate goods.

Through the holidays, Boyle’s offices at 7518 Frankford Ave. and 7801-A Hasbrook Ave. will be drop-off sites on weekdays from 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.

“With food stamp benefits being cut for the first time in history, food banks will undoubtedly receive an increase in clients,” Boyle said. “It is important now more than ever that we assist those in need.”

Last year’s drive brought in more than 200 pounds of food through the Mayfair office alone.

Questions about the 2013 holiday drive can be directed to Boyle’s office at 215-331-2600.
