Kenney’s Rainy Day Fund lands on the November ballot

An idea proposed by Philadelphia Council Councilman James Kenney will go before voters in the form of a ballot question. Expect to see something about a Rainy Day Fund on the November ballot.

First proposed during the Street administration, Kenney is pushing once again for the city to set aside emergency funding — something he says could help us now.

KYW reports three-quarters of one percent of the general fund money would be set aside for the fund, to be used only in unforseen circumstances. Look for a question about it on the ballot.
