Kalas statue coming soon to Citizens Bank Park

The Harry Kalas statue meant for Citizens Bank Park is reportedly only weeks away from its debut.

KYW reports the 7-foot bronze tribute will make its first appearance at the Phillies-Nationals game Aug. 14.

The Phillies accepted the fan-funded statue back in March after sculptor Lawrence Nowlan made it, and it’ll find a permanent home near the left field foul pole. Fans helped raised about $80,000 for the statue, but Nowlan is still accepting donations — he needs about $10,000 more.
