Judge orders psychiatric exam for man who drove onto Philadelphia runway

A judge has ordered a psychiatric exam for Kenneth Mazik, the man who drove his car onto a Philadelphia International Airport runway.

Mazik’s case was handed over to the feds yesterday after he was charged with disrupting airport service, damaging the facility and endangering safety.

According to the Associated Press, Mazik’s lawyer said Mazik had irrational thoughts that led him to drive through a gate and onto a runway. Mazik remains in custody pending a competency hearing next week.
