Judge OKs merger of two N.J. health systems

The planned merger of South Jersey Healthcare and Underwood-Memorial Hospital is moving forward thanks to a Superior Court judge.

Their operating companies got the OK yesterday to merger the two facilities, as the Daily Journal reports.

Merger approval came in September, and the deal is expected to close Nov. 1. The newly formed organization doesn’t have a name yet, but it does have a CEO. That’ll be Chet Kaletkowski, president and CEO of South Jersey Healthcare.
