Judge consolidates three DROP ballot challenges

Tom MacDonald is at this morning’s hearing for election ballot challenges, where he says the judge has opted to consolidate the three DROP challenges against Commissioner Marge Tartaglione and council members Marian Tasco and Frank Rizzo.

The hearings are taking place in a makeshift courtroom that typically operates as a file room. Tom says the judge is no-nonsense, stopping the proceedings because there wasn’t an American flag present. The Pledge of Allegiance was recited to a desktop flag.

A request by one lawyer to postpone the hearing for a few days was denied. Tom will have more details for us later.
