Johnson & Johnson to complete Synthes deal this week
With everything in order and a new price tag in place, Johnson & Johnson is expected to complete its deal with Synthes this week.
The deal was announced last year as the biggest ever for J&J, which planned to buy the medical equipment maker for $21.3 billion.
According to the Inquirer, the price was adusted to $19.7 billion in accordance with currency and stock prices.
Though Synthes is based in Switzerland, the company has headquarters in Chester County, not far from J&J’s Montgomery County plant, McNeil.
The official closing date is tomorrow, June 14.
