Job-seekers flock to southern Delaware job fair

Delaware’s Congressional delegation hosts another job fair today.  This one is being held in Sussex County.

Potential employers from the public and private sectors are gathering at the Georgetown campus of Delaware Technical and Community College, ready to meet with job-hunters.  Senators Tom Carper and Chris Coons and Congressman John Carney put together the job fair.  Previous events held in New Castle and Kent counties earlier this year drew a combined 3,500 people who were able to meet with about 100 potential employers.  More than 55 companies and agencies are on hand today, including representatives from M & T Bank.  M & T Bank needs to fill 60 positions at its Millsboro location by November.  The job fair takes place until 3:00 p.m. today.  For more information call the office of Senator Coons at 302-573-6345.
