Joanna Pascale concert photos from Chestnut Hill

It was a hot night for Wednesday’s Pastorius Park concert but turnout was pretty good considering there was a Severe Heat Warning in effect. Temperatures were in the mid-80s but with the heat index it felt like 90.

The concert is part of Chestnut Hill Community Association’s summer concert series at Pastorius Park. Next Wednesday’s concert featuring the West Philadelphia Orchestra will be the final event of the summer.

Joanna Pascal is a jazz vocalist from Philadelphia. She performs three nights a week with her quintet at the Loews Hotel in Philadelphia. She is a member of the vocal faculty at Temple University.

Pascale has two recordings. Her 2004 release “When Lights are Low” on the Consolidated Artists label, and the 2008 release of “Through My Eyes” on her own label, Stiletto Records.
