Jerry Clothier, Phillies senior vice president for business and finance, dies at 66

    The Phillies said goodbye this weekend to executive Jerry Clothier.

    At 66, Clothier was the team’s senior vice president for business and finance after starting his career at Price With the Phillies, he served for years as a committee member of the Players Pension Plan and a trustee on Major League Baseball’s Non-uniformed Personal Pension Plan Committee.

    Clothier is a life-long local: born in Delaware, educated at Swarthmore High and UDel and a long-time Philly resident. His full obituary is in the Daily News today. He leaves behind a wife, two daughters, a brother and five grandchildren.
