Report: OARC won’t host West Oak Lane Jazz Festival

CBS3 is reporting the Ogontz Avenue Revitalization Corporation will not host the annual West Oak Lane Jazz Festival.

The three-day event has been a highlight of the neighborhood every summer since 2003, despite complaints from some residents and the high cost of producing it.

As NewsWorks reported last summer, state funding for this year’s festival is gone.

CBS3 reports OARC will instead find other opportunities to bring arts and entertainment events to the neighborhood. OARC could not immediately be reached for comment.

NewsWorks will have more details as this story develops.
