    First Draft Theatre Playwrights’ Circle

    Every year, the Wilmington Drama League hosts the First Draft Playwright’s Circle, two evenings of staged readings written by First Draft Theatre members.     Waiting Around (the New Orleans Restaurant Musical)

    This witty experience in restaurant purgatory sets four waiters singing and dancing their way through bitchy customers, conquering the waiter lingo, working under the watchful eye of “management” and having visions of the Fairy God-Waitress, complete with big hair, magic wand, and order pad.     Dramatic Reading: The Knave of Hearts

    Written by Louise Saunders, illustrated by Maxfield Parrish, and first published in 1925, The Knave of Hearts tells the charming tale of the King and Queen of Hearts, and the knave who stole their raspberry tarts. Through a dramatic reading of this comical story, the Knave of Hearts Ensemble will bring this story to life. Delaware Art Museum, Sunday, January 10, 1:30 p.m. – 2:00 p.m.
