It’s not a joke; April begins on a warm note

Is anyone sad to see March end?

While April Fool’s jokes are flying around today, Mother Nature certainly isn’t pranking us. It’s nothing but tranquility, with high temperatures expected to reach the mid-50s to around 60 degrees inland.

    Spring, is that you?

On Wednesday, the forecast calls for even warmer temperatures into the 60s, courtesy of warm air currently over the Tennessee and Ohio valleys advecting eastward, according to New York Metro Weather’s John Homenuk.

But if you’re near the coast, the chilly Atlantic water makes it difficult to stay warm throughout the day during April, Homenuk says.

With cloudy skies, temperatures then cool down slightly for Thursday and Friday, according to NOAA. Both days feature a chance of rain, with the highest likelihood during Friday night. We’ll then clear for Saturday, when mild temperatures will once again return.
