Installation aims to teach students 21st Century skills

If you’ve strolled through Old City since last night, you may have noticed something a bit different about the National Constitution Center.

There is a. . . well, a thing — for lack of a better word — on the lawn. That thing is promoting education.

As part of NBC News’ three-city Education Nation On-The-Road tour, the not-yet-complete installation will be open to students and the public from Monday, June 6 through Sunday, June 12.

According to a release from Mayor Michael Nutter’s office, “The state-of-the-art exhibit is designed to engage school groups and the broader community by using video and interactive tools to explore the skills, knowledge and training required to succeed in the 21st Century.”
