Independent mayoral candidate gets equal airtime tonight on NBC10

Philadelphia voters will get a half-hour viewing tonight of Independent mayoral candidate Wali Rahman. Also known as Diop Olugbala, Rahman’s 7 p.m. appearance on NBC10 is the result of an equal airtime complaint first filed by Republican candidate Karen Brown.

Nutter got his time first, taking questions on air via social media. Brown was finally granted her 30-minute appearance, plus another 30 on NBC10’s website. Rahman will get the same treatment tonight with a 7 to 7:30 p.m. TV appearance followed immediately by 30 minutes on the web.
