Independence Hall helps put Philly in the top 25 most photographed cities

Congrats Philly photogs! Thanks to you, Philadelphia has been named Budget Travel’s 22nd most photographed city on Earth.

Scientists at Cornell University delved into more than 35 million Flickr photos and discovered not only which cities in the world are the 25 most photographed, but also which landmark in that city is most often captured.

Pretty impressive that Philly ranks among these cities that include Paris, Barcelona and Venice, and beat out Portland, Dublin and Austin to round out the top 25.

The landmark that was found to be the most frequently snapped was Independence Hall. The beautiful site of the Declaration of Independence is most frequently taken from a side perspective.
