I’m On Mic this week at Fresh Air
Posting will be light this week as I take off my reporter’s hat (you know, the fedora with the “press” card in the brim) and put on my yeah-I’m-not-Terry-Gross-but-somebody’s-gotta-give-her-a-break-hat.
I’m hosting Fresh Air all week, and by Friday you’ll learn about one of my all time favorite movies, because if things go as planned, I’ll ask actor Frank Langella about his role in it.
Langella should be Thursday’s guest on the show.
Monday we featured writer Peter Heller, who sounds like a great guy to have a beer with – in fact he almost sounds like we’re having a beer in the interview. He talks about his first novel, The Dog Stars and some truly wild stuff he’s done as an adventure writer and journalist.
Tuesday, it’s why your weather will probably keep getting funkier. I’ll speak with Michael Lemonick, co-author of the book Global Weirdness. It’s from a group called Climate Central which focuses on what scientists know and don’t know about climate change.
Wednesday we take on battles over voting across the country with Nathaniel Persily, a respected authority from Columbia University, and State Rep.Darryl Metcalfe, prime sponsor of Pennsylvania’s controversial voter ID law.
You can hear the show at 3 and 7 on WHYY in Philadelphia.
