Icy conditions expected tonight as temperatures plummet

As bitterly cold temperatures invade later today, icy conditions will be a problem, according to the National Weather Service.

Today’s precipitation “congeals into an icy mess tonight,” tweeted Gary Szatkowski, head meteorologist at the National Weather Service office in Mount Holly, NJ.

Temperatures are expected to drop down to lows in the upper teens in the Philadelphia metro area and Central Jersey and lower 20s along the coast.
