The Monday evening rush hour at the Jersey Shore might be icy, forecaster say.

A Winter Weather Advisory is in effect for all four Shore counties between 4 p.m. and midnight Monday.

The National Weather Service expects a sloppy wintry mix, featuring periods of light freezing rain, sleet, snow, and rain.

“A few hundredths of an inch of ice will likely accumulate on untreated roads and walkways. Also, there may be a very light accumulation of sleet and snow in spots,” the advisory states.

The service warns that ice will likely create “hazardous conditions on area roads and walkways.”

Any standing water will likely refreeze on Monday night.
