Hundreds of tickets in one-day hazmat vehicle enforcement initiative

Of the 1,599 commercial hazmat vehicles inspected March 29 in Pennsylvania, nearly 50 percent of drivers received citations.

State troopers issued 790 citations in the one-day enforcement period that targeted vehicles carrying hazardous material.
Forty-three drivers and 174 vehicles were pulled from service, the Associated Press reports, with the most common violations being unsafe brakes and tired drivers.

All the more reason to steer clear of the trucks with the little yellow stickers on them.
