More than a foot of snow fell in locations throughout the Jersey Shore by Thursday morning as Mother Nature dealt the fourth major storm in four weeks.

More than a foot of snow fell in locations throughout the Jersey Shore by Thursday morning as Mother Nature dealt the fourth major storm in four weeks.
According to the latest information reported to the National Weather Service. the highest accumulation was measured in Berkeley, Ocean County, where 15.5″ fell. Most of the snowfall occurred between late afternoon Wednesday and early Thursday.
Main roads were generally fine Thursday morning, but Jersey Shore Hurricane News contributors reported some treacherous local conditions.
The state’s major utilities reported slightly more than 75,000 customers were still without service early Thursday.
Dozens of schools had cancelled classes for Thursday due to treacherous travel conditions in many areas, while others planned delayed openings.
