Hot dog gets a taste of Phillie’s Victorino

At The Feed, we’re not generally big on product placement. Meat-product placement is a whole nuther  matter. (Yes, we said, ‘whole ‘nuther.’)

Kensington’s Memphis Taproom now serves the Victorino, a tasty or stomach-turning combination of grilled hot dog, fresh pineapple, fried rice, hot mustard and, of course, Spam. (Yes, much Spam gets consumed in Hawaii.)

Taproom owner Brendan Hartranft says the dog is a hot item. The obvious question: Has Victorino ever consumed a Victorino?

“Nah, he’s never been in here,” Hartranft said. “But Utley has. He had a pulled pork sandwich and a water, which is kind of lame. This is Kensington; you’re gonna drink water?”
