Hemoglobin mutations named for Philly-area towns

    Cheesesteak, Liberty Bell, Rocky, hemoglobin Philadelphia…

    Among the things Philadelphia is known for, hemoglobin mutations might not come to mind. But we’ve got a few.

    While working on a story about hemoglobin Toms River, health reporter Carolyn Beeler found several other hemoglobin mutations name for our area. Beijing and New York each have one, as does Camden. we’ve got hemoglobin Philly and hemoglobin Philadelphia.
