Hearing today on Christie’s proposed energy plan

Democrats in the N.J. Legislature will hold a hearing today to review Gov. Chris Christie’s energy plan. The 10 a.m. hearing in Toms River will give the public an special interest groups a chance to comment on Christie’s vision for the next 10 years.

Dems want 30 percent of the state’s energy to come from renewable resources by 2010, but Christie’s plan calls for 22.5 percent, while energy advocates praise the plan’s incorporation of solar farms on brownfields.

Christie has not ruled out plans for another nuclear plant.
