Health department explains approach to Marcellus Shale drilling, Flag vendors talk history of sales

What does Philadelphia’s future look like? Possibilities were explored last night by the Economy League, that envision Philadelphia as both a great and not-so-great place to live (see: Travel + Leisure). We’ll get to that later in the show, but first, let’s check in with Pennsylvania’s health department.

Susan Phillips will bring us word from the health department about how it approaches the many health-related reports that come out of the Marcellus Shale drilling.

Flag Day is coming to an end, but don’t think the flag itself will fade out of the spotlight. We spoke with flag retailers about how the popularity of the American flag has waxed and waned over the years.

We’ll also talk tonight to Leadership Philadelphia’s Liz Dow about how makes the connections that push the city forward. Liz will talk about the new connector project aimed at identifying important people to help with important goals. She’ll tell us how to become part of the project.
