    A New Jersey senate committee has approved the creation of a state registry for saltwater fishers. The decision came about as an alternative to a federal registry, which comes with a $15 fee per fisher. The full Senate must now vote, with Gov. Chris Christie’s signature the final step for approval. The state registry will not have a fee.
